Indo Tibetan/Nepalese rugs are unique in the knotting system with high density of knots. The feel and texture of Tibetan rugs vary with the quality materials used and number of knots/sq. inch.
Compared to most Persian and Turkish carpets, all Tibetan rugs are soft, thick and flexible.
The best quality Tibetan rugs have a tighter, denser weave and a thicker, deeper pile with excellent resiliency.
